Although the cases cited here interpreted the scope of “person” with regard to section 1028A, section 1028(a)(7) mirrors the relevant language of section 1028A. Compare 18 U.S.C. § 1028(a)(7) (“Whoever. . .knowingly transfers, possesses, or uses, without lawful authority, a means of identification of another person”) with 18 U.S.C. § 1028A(a)(1) (same). Further- more, the two statutes share the same definition of “means of identification,” see 18 U.S.C. § 1028(d)(7), and are aimed at the same category of conduct. Accordingly, the proper interpretation of “means of identification of another person” should be the same for both statutes.
